Je suis un caillou?

...I am a rock, I am an iiiii-iisland...

I'm not so sure that Alex appreciates Nick's gift of Simon and Garfunkel, but I do! Is there any better song to sing along to? (Especially with the windows closed!)

Unfortunately, Nick's visit did not start happily, with the dismal rugby loss and the end of world cup fun here in France, but we had a few commiseration beers anyway!

The Aussie pub here in Paris, the site of much of the rugby watching, though we left in disgust after an english group got a bit too carried away with low-swinging chariots after the Australia fiasco. Damn english.

Much more fun the next day, at Disneyland (the park formerly known as EuroDisney), which rocks! Especially Space Mountain, the best rollercoaster ever! Actually, I have always thought that Disneyland must be a bit lame, but it as really a lot of fun. Of course it's cheesy and kitch, but that's the point, isn't it? And even though the parade and the cartoon characters are really geared more towards a slightly younger age group than ours, they're still the familiar old friends from childhood, aren't they? And they do it really well, the costumes and the settings are perfect, even the staff manning the rides are dressed in appropriate gear for each ride. And we picked a great day for it too, nice and sunny, but still far away from summer to not be too crowded.

Oh yes, and we were pirates. Does it get any better?

Comments:
I like the square trees. They're my second fave after Mickey. Alex is my third favourite....

Looks like fun! alas...we probably won't have time to partake in such gloriousnessness. You might have to plan a basic tourist package for us, one that includes the eiffel tower, arc d'triomph, pain au chocolate etc....ha! Can't wait!

Basic tourist package coming right up, Margs! Square trees are extra anyway.
