Une pièce en plus
18 m2 sufficed for one person for nigh on a year, two people for a few months, three people for several stints, and even four for a week. However, the time has come to move up, move forward, move out!
House-hunting last Thursday, Alex and I found a fantastic one bedroom place with a whole 30 m2! With that much space, we're taking up ballroom dancing! It has just been completely revamped, with brand new kitchen, flooring, and furniture. Exciting features include a bedroom (!), a washing machine, and five flights of stairs... no elevator. Any volunteers to help us move?
We're getting the keys tomorrow, but we won't be moving until next weekend due to a parental visit this weekend.
The apartment is in the 3rd arrondissement, on the right bank. It isn't as impressive an area as the current one (my neighbours will now include gay jewish prostitutes rather than Napoleon and the Prime Minister) but it is a much more lively and fun area and we can't wait to start discovering new favourite restaurants and boulangeries.
Photos to come, for now, here's a trusty old google map image:

Sounds exciting...looking forward to some photos!
We just helped Margaret and Flit move in preparation for their married life, and on Saturday we warmed Richie and Suse's new place too! Plus, MatteS just moved into new digs, and Good is also about to shift lodgings into the House of Chicken. Then there's John and Shari who are counting down the days before they finally get to move into their new house. Gabs is also househunting.
It seems something is in the air...!

How funny! I never thought of it like that Noodle, you and Bron are the two boring ones staying where you are!
Looking forward to the photos Jen, and who knows.....perhaps that square 30m may come in handy in Oct/Nov?! *hint hint..not confirmed*

I'll help you move Jen in return for a return Ticket to Paris (ok - one way would suffice) a case of fine non-French beer, and a kilo of assorted French Cheeses. Oh alright, and a cheap bottle of red as well.
look forward to it!
look forward to it!
Do you want a house guest for the 13th and 14th or October? I've got the weekend to kill in Europe...
Hmm, house guest in October... do I want one or not...
How about... YES!
And Matt, conveniently you volunteered after the move was already completed, so no tickets, kilos, or cases for you!
